NASA T-38C Talon on display. The T-38 is an advanced jet trainer for astronauts. This aircraft was first chosen by the US Air Force in 1961, but is now used by NASA due to its speed, performance, and simplicity. It can reach speeds of up to 858 mph. It is sometimes referred to as the “white rocket because of its narrow, pencil-looking fuselage.
